World of Floral Art Open. 2008-2009

European Athenaeum of Floral Art and Vea - Statens fagskole for gartnere og blomsterdekoratører wish to develop a whole new kind of championship for Florists organized and supervised by Flornet partners, as a part of strengthening the network.

European Athenaeum of Floral Art and Vea - Statens fagskole for gartnere og blomsterdekoratører want to start a cup which is totally independent from national and international florist associations. There are two main conditions we want to be met.

1. It has to be open for all qualified florists and students in Floristry.
2. The participants have to work in a team of two qualified florists or students from vocational schools in Floristry, or a combination of a qualified florist and a student.

The name of this cup will be: World of Floral Art Open

It will be organized as a cup, organized every other year: first year, national and following year, international:
1st year: World of Floral Art Open, nationally, for example Hungarian World of Floral Art Open in Hungary
2nd year:World of Floral Art Open international somewhere in Europe, 1st time in 2009, in Italy

The team that wins their national competition qualifies for the international World of Floral Art Open the year after. The National championships will be between teams made up of two persons who are qualified florists or students from vocational schools in Floristry. The national championships will be arranged by Flornet schools. In the future the idea is to arrange this as an open independent championship in each country.

We want to start this championship in 2008. To be able to arrange the World of Floral Art Open in 2009 in Italy, we need each of the Flornet partners in each country which wants to participate, to choose their best national teams during 1st quarter of 2008. In the case where there are two Flornet partners in one country, they will cooperate in this national part. Deadline for applying is 1st of April 2008. Its not obligatory that the teams chosen are from Flornet schools. They can be anyone who wants to participate and who is a qualified florist or student in floristry
